In half a day you can, for example, visit the town of Rabil, famous for its handmade terracotta, and continue on through the spellbinding Viana Desert. Full-day tours
There are several possible itineraries that touch on the most beautiful sites. You can set off to explore wild, untouched beaches, such as Curral Velho, Joao Barrosa and Ervatão, followed by a thrilling ascent to the Morro Negro lighthouse, and return through the picturesque villages of the North with a stop for a typical lunch, or you can head from the dunes of Morro de Areia to the caves of Varandinha, and along the beach to the delightful Santa Monica, where you can stop for a safe swim right in front of the little restaurant on the water’s edge, and taste some freshly caught fish. On the way back, stop at Povoação Velha, the oldest village on the island. These tours combine adventure, culture and relaxation, offering a full day immersed in the beauty of Boa Vista.
