Tesouro do mar

Debhora and Giacinto, an Italian couple who have decided to live here, use their impressive skills and imagination to create jewellery and lamps out of shells, many of which once contained a delicious local shellfish called buzio, and which have been discarded by the fishermen or found broken on the shore. They also make some magical lamps from abandoned buoys fished out of the sea. Customers can also purchase paintings and jewellery, and other artefacts with terracotta beads and cast stones. Santa Barbara area.

Olaria

The ancient terracotta factory, located in Rabil, the village near the airport. Vases, lamps, souvenirs in the shape of a turtle or whales, and puffer fish candle holders are still shaped here by hand. It is worth a visit to see how the terracotta objects are made. Workshops can be organised on request.
