Museum of the Castaways
An interesting collection of marine artefacts and fantastic displays lovingly and skilfully created by Maurizio Rossi and his sons. On Fridays, an evening of music with aperitifs and delicious Tuscan-Capo Verdean schiaccine.

On the seafront in Sal Rei, a very popular, quality ice-cream parlour and pastry shop. Also serves other tasty treats, such as crêpes, small sandwiches, etc. Live music some evenings.
Cachupa Coffee Shop
A nice place in the centre of Sal Rei where you can have breakfast, an aperitif, or a quick lunch, or enjoy a delicious cachupa guisada on the spot or to go, as well as many other Italian and Cape Verdean dishes offered by Nadia. Make sure you try the pastries.
